Change your paradigms change your life!

By Dennis McKenzie

Paradigms are the way we see life:

They are our governing belief systems. They are the driving forces behind every decision we make and are responsible for the persona we all currently portray. There are many different interpretations of the actual meaning of a paradigm. Basically a paradigm is "...a constellation of concepts, values, perceptions and practices held by an individual or shared by a community which forms a particular vision of reality that is the basis of the way an individual or community organises itself.

"Webster's Dictionary defines it as: A set of assumptions, concepts, values, and practices that constitutes a way of viewing reality for the community that shares them, especially in an intellectual discipline.

Paradigms are an effort to make things explainable and understandable, they drive all behavior, and behavior drives results. Paradigms are mental models or ways of thinking about something, they define what we view as important and how we approach problems and activities. They focus our attention, they concentrate our efforts on what we have deemed to be important, they give us the confidence to solve problems.

Ideally shifting your paradigms will allow you to change from who you think you are, to who you truly are.It is a movement from the accepted paradigm, to a new one, a restructuring of the patterns we rely on for decision-making, and is the only way to achieve a better outcome.

The problem with a paradigm shift is that you do not know you are in it, until the new paradigm becomes the 'conventional wisdom' (rarely do people like Einstein come along and write a small book and shatter a paradigm, as he did overturning Newtonian physics which had dominated for hundreds of years and, within the scientific community, was the prevailing paradigm of thought). The process the mind goes through during a paradigm shift is, to many, fascinating.

Paradigm shifts can be shaped by the choices we make, by forces beyond our control, or a combination of the two. They are not just ideas that are used by scientists, they are a part of the way our brains work and we all rely upon them. They are one way of creating an instant belief change, and can take place only after a sudden and opposite change in our perceptions, which is normally different from reality.

Perhaps the greatest barrier to shifting our paradigms, in some cases, is the reality of paradigm paralysis, the inability or refusal to see beyond the current models of thinking. This is similar to what Psychologists term Confirmation Bias which is usually defined as when as humans we seek out information that confirms our held beliefs and ignore facts that run counter to those beliefs.

Historically, one such shift is the Copernican revolution in which a belief in the world being flat was first challenged by the invention of the telescope, and then with the progression of science, discarded. Also consider the Swiss who failed to patent or market the quartz watch, even though they invented it, because they couldn't shift paradigms. They couldn't shift paradigms because they couldn't see that there would be a market for another kind of watch besides the kind they had already been successfully making and selling for generations.

Essentially, a paradigm shift is a complete change in thinking or belief systems that allow the creation of a new condition previously thought impossible or unacceptable. Paradigm shifting is the movement from one paradigm to another. Paradigms are unquestioned convictions, unquestioned because almost everyone has accepted and bought into that same view of life, and are beliefs about life albeit not necessarily true or accurate. They are the mental models that each of us carries in our minds.

When anomalies or inconsistencies arise within a given paradigm and present problems that we are unable to solve, our view of reality must change, as must the way we perceive, think, and value the world. A paradigm shift is the only way to achieve a better outcome.Class is in session, let us help you learn to change your paradigms. The 7 figure Marketing School

What truly motivates change in ones self?

By Dennis McKenzie

It could be that you are not happy with a certain aspect of your being. Maybe you are not living the life of your dreams, the way you have envisioned it to be. It could just be that you are unsure of what it is that you truly want your life to be like, but you know that there has to be more to it than what you are currently experiencing.

Every one of us has the inherent desire to become more than what we are. It is "Divine Nature". You originated from a source of perpetual more. Ever creating, and ever expanding throughout the universe. So it would stand to reason that you, would have a never ending desire to do the same in your own life. However, just having that "desire" is not nearly enough to cause it to become reality. You must be motivated to act on that desire, and make a commitment to your self that you will do what-ever it takes to achieve the intended results.

In order for you to take the necessary action, you need to figure out what the driving force behind your desire to change is.

- Is it to become a more loving person?

- Is it to attract that special someone into your life?

- Is it so that you may acquire the beautiful home, expensive cars, and abundant lifestyle?

- Is it to have financial or time freedom?

- Is it to help other people realize their own Potential?

- Or maybe you just feel that something is missing in general and you want more out of life.

Once you take the time to really evaluate your current situation, it becomes much easier to decide what it is you need to do, and what is lacking in your life experience that is fueling your desire for that change.

To facilitate a change in your life, it is imperative that you begin exactly where you are now. Start by taking 100% responsibility for the decisions, and actions that have placed you there.Realize that yesterday cannot be changed, and tomorrow is yet to arrive.

Right now in this very moment of time, is the only real place you can make any difference in your present reality. It begins with changing your thought process toward the various situations, or circumstances that you would like changed. Thought is the single most powerful force in the universe. It has created everything you can consider with your five senses and beyond.

As the saying goes "If you continue to think the same thoughts in the same way, you will keep getting what you've always gotten".

Make a commitment to yourself to think only those thoughts that are positive, Thoughts that move you forward in the direction of your goals. When a negative thought arises, simply replace it with a positive one. Start asking yourself the big (What If) questions, and allow your mind to open up to the never-ending supply of possibilities. The only factor limiting you from having success, is the belief system that is governing your actions at this point in time.

If you want things to be different, you must change your limiting beliefs. You have the power within yourself right now. You were created by the source of all things, and you have the very same power residing in your being, albeit unrealized.Anything your mind can conceive, it can achieve. Monumental skyscrapers, beautiful works of art, everything you can see, were first constructed in the mind of their respective creator. You can build every aspect of your life in the same manner.

First, you must decide what you wish to change and vow to engage your mind solely in thoughts that are empowering you to bring about that change. Only then will your eyes be open to all the wonderful possibilities this life has to offer.Believe that you are capable of accomplishing anything you set your mind to. Jesus Once said, "with the faith of a mustard seed, we could move mountains". Just imagine how little faith it would take to remove the small obstacles in your own path, which keep you from achieving your dreams.

In conclusion, always keep an attitude of gratitude for all things great and small, that come into your life. You must be grateful for every situation or circumstance that comes into your life good or bad in order for expansion to take place, so that you may be able to receive, or become more. You must become more than what you are, to receive more than what you have. It is a natural law of the universe. Let's learn together!
